πFall Fun!π
It’s been a busy couple of weeks in kindergarten! The kids made me so happy at conferences last week. I just loved watching them proudly show you some of what they have learned in this short amount of time. Thank you for your continued support at home. The home/school connection is imperative for social and academic growth. You are all wonderful parents! ❤️
Last week we had fun painting pumpkins. Yesterday we created a beautiful fall bulletin board. Enjoy the pictures below!

Fire Station Fun! π
We had a wonderful trip to the fire station today! Firefighter Dale did an amazing job captivating the kids attention and reminding them the importance of fire safety.

This week went by in a flash! We were busy learning new word wall words: the and little, reading new books, studying different math patterns and writing EVERY day!!! Most importantly, I have observed some wonderful moments of kindness and compassion amongst the group. I am thrilled to see that this is a class that loves to build each other up! ❤️
Did you notice the paper bag platypus come home this week? This is a character from one of the stories we read. When the kids finished making their platypus, I asked them to read stories to it!!
Hopefully you saw this book come home this week. You will see these paper books come home on a weekly basis. I am the first to admit that the content is not too exciting π but the pattern and repetition of words helps build reading fluency. Please take some time each week to practice reading these short stories.
We ended the week with some fun with apples! The kids made wonderful observations of their apples...inside and out! ππ
Earlier in the week we discussed the difference between a repeating pattern and growing pattern. Ask your child to describe the difference!

I am working on encouraging kids to spend time reading books that are “just right” for them. After a period of quiet reading, I asked the kids to choose a favorite part from the story. I was so proud of their work!
