Buddy reading with Mrs. Hauke's 2nd Graders!

Friday afternoons are a treat in our class as we head down to Mrs. Hauke's class. Both classes enjoy reading to each other. These kids have such a great connection!

Writers Workshop!

I just love my writers!  On day three of writing workshop we take the time to celebrate the stories that they have written! At this time, the children are invited to read their story in the authors' chair. Not only am I proud of the student sharing his/her writing but the thoughtful comments and compliments that are offered by their peers.
